My sandwich was fine. My partner had the hot turkey sandwich and after waiting a long time it came and was cold. They did nuke it but just not the same. Really slow service.

Good food, great service.

I am hesitant to give this review for fear it would make the place more popular and harder to get the corn beef hash, which was the most amazing I have ever had. but it would be unjust to say nothing, so if you like eggs and corned beef hash, it doesn't matter how far away you live, you need to go here. Staff was awesome as well.

Small family restaurant. Wait staff friendly, quick service. Food is always good. Portions are large and often have leftovers to eat the next day. Especially like their turkey dinner which they serve on Tuesdays.

Candy Apple Cafe is a great local diner. We've only been 2x for breakfast but the service is very friendly, quick and accommodating. The food was always delicious and exactly as ordered. Prices are great too for the portion sizes! Has a great home town/locals crowd that seems to recognize everyone that walks through the door! Highly recommend this place!

EVERY time I come here, the place is busy. That ALONE should tell you something. Despite being consistently busy....the wait staff are courteous, pleasant, and responsive. The menu is vast, and I've had nearly* everything on it, at least once. *I am NOT a fan of eggs ANYWHERE, so I can NOT make opinions about their eggs. The cook staff know what they're doing. The food is always at the right temperature, the portions are always generous (for a guy my size to say that, should mean something), and is consistently flavorful. When it comes to pricing, you would be hard-pressed to find a better value for your hard earned dollar. This restuarant is an Akron icon, and is such, because they know Akron is a town where people are family, and money is generally tight.Their prices resemble those not seen in restaurants since the late 90's, early 2000's.In my humble opinion, this 5-star review is well deserved. This place is a GREAT choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I went there with some family and friends. The food was very good. The waitress then sang a song about a doughnut, so I guess that was pretty cool.

What a nice little cafe, the staff are wonderful the food is fantastic and the price’s are very very reasonable. Their Turkey dinner on Tuesday was excellent with all the trimmings, There is no way your leaving hungry with the size proportion they give you and the pies are homemade.. yummy will be going back for more, I think we found our little place of heaven in the country.

Honestly one of the best diners to go to! You get that small town atmosphere as soon as you walk in and the employees are always in a good mood! Food is amazing and not expensive and taste just like a home cooked meal! My family goes to the diner almost every sunday morning and will be going for many years to come!

Was an awesome out of the way restaurant. When I was trucking we called them a hole in the wall. Best little places to stop and eat. I had Prime Rib and was great, reasonably priced too. If ever back in the area will definitely stop back in.

I visit my family and we go everytime I'm there. Very good experience everytime. Staff very down to earth

I like this place because the prices are reasonable and the food is good. Everyday there is a specials board with about four options. The pies are varied that are homemade. Service is great. It's a small restaurant but nice and comfy and waitresses are friendly and treat nicely.

Went in this afternoon to grab a couple of desserts to go. First, the cashier shorted me ten dollars in change. Then, got home and they sold us a piece of moldy bread pudding. Not to mention that the staff was somewhat rude to us. We used to love this place, but sadly, it just isn't the same anymore.

When we arrived the place was mobbed! The servers did an outstanding job of getting the orders taken and food came out in a timely manner. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our food arrived hot and everything came as ordered.

Surprisingly good. We've been meaning to go there for quite some time and were impressed with not only the food quality but the attentive service as well. "Breakfast as dinner" with soup, omelettes, potatoes and toast came to right around twenty bucks. Can't go wrong!
Cory Coles

Hadn't been here in years and it was great food at a great price. I got the chicken parm sandwich which was really tasty. This is the rare restaurant where you don't have to break the bank to have a bite to eat. Want just a sandwich or a waffle, you can eat for under $5. You aren't forced to buy a $12 meal that comes with sides that you don't want, like most restaurants these days. I really appreciate that and the options offered. Friendly staff and a cute, intimate atmosphere.

Ben's Big Burger and Kev's Cordon Bleu are my regular picks, and where else can you choose between three different types of fries? (Cross-cut seasoned are my favourite here, but we all get a different type and share them.) The Akronite chili and French onion soup are great, but it can be too much food if you get both that and an entree. The kids split a chicken finger basket, and they love having three types of fries at once. For the kids meal dessert they also share the ice cream, and we all leave happy.Oh, and the kids also like to indulge in a flavored creamer or two while we wait for the food. ðŸ˜

Best corned beef breakfast in New York.
